Winter 2020

The Société de transport de Laval’s (STL) winter schedule comes into effect January 4, 2020, and with it, numerous regular bus service improvements. Over 120 trips a day have been added, mainly evenings and weekends.

Bus every 15 minutes on Notre-Dame/De la Concorde in the evenings

For core arteries, Bus 26, which runs from the Ste-Dorothée train station to the Montmorency bus terminal, and Bus 42, which links the Saint-François area and downtown Laval, will pass even more often during peak hours, evenings and weekends. Service will be every 20 minutes from 7 to 10 p.m. These two buses will also see their frequency upped weekends, to every 20 minutes from 9 to 6 p.m. Nighttime service will also be improved on Bus 26, to every half-hour from 10 p.m. to the wee hours of the morning. Morning and afternoon rush hour service for these two buses will continue to be every 10 minutes.

Under the new schedule, buses 37 and 63 will now pass every 30 minutes from 9 to 3 p.m. weekdays, and Bus 151, every 15 minutes during that same timeframe. Trips have also been added for buses 17, 22, 37, 56, 61, 76, 144 and 902.

Platform changes - Côte-Vertu and Montmorency terminals

Due to the postponement of the closure of the Mont-Royal tunnel and the entry into service of the mitigation measures until March 30, 2020 put in place for the construction of the REM (Metropolitan express network, announced by CDPQ Infra, the quays of the STL at the Côte-Vertu terminus for lines 144, 902, 313 and 151 will finally be relocated from next March. The current location is therefore maintained, with some minor changes which will be effective from next January 4. In addition, the boarding of line 70 at the Montmorency terminus has been moved to platform 3.

Adapting to winter weather conditions

STL buses operate 7 days a week, 365 days a year, regardless of weather conditions. However, when less-than-optimal conditions prevail, users should plan accordingly and prepare for slower trip times than usual.
