Family fare policies

Children ride for free on weekends, holidays, spring break and during the summer

The STL has implemented a preferential fare for families on weekends, holidays and throughout the summer and during the Holiday season. When an adult pays a full fare, a person holds a Horizon 65+ bus pass or a student between the ages of 18 and 25 with a valid student fare card gets onboard,  they can be accompanied by up to five children aged eleven and under for freeThis policy does not pertain to adapted transportation services. For more information, please read regulations CA-13 and CA-14.

The STL has implemented this policy to encourage parents and children of Laval to take advantage of our newly improved services.

3 special offers for the holiday season

The holiday magic also operates on the STL network. From December 21, 2019 to January 5, 2020 inclusively, shuttle 360 will be in service 7 days a week in the city center, and free will apply throughout the network for children accompanied by an adult*.

That's not all! On December 24th and 31st, the STL offers transportation for all, all day until the early morning.

The OPUS card is the practical, useful and secure way to take public transportation

With your OPUS card by your side you can travel throughout Laval and the greater Montreal area, whether you are travelling by bus, Metro or train.

You can top up your OPUS card with different types of fares. For example, you can purchase a monthly STL pass and eight STM tickets or a TRAM Zone 3. No matter where you are and wherever you have to go, you can use the same OPUS card to get there.
