Ensuring Operational Excellence
The largest worksite in our recent history—which will ensure us that the capacity of our Operations Centre will be sufficient to accommodate the growth in our ridership over the next four years—will be completed in 2012.
Moreover, in 2012, the STL will be pursuing its plan to upgrade its master computer applications for operations and maintenance management. These new technologies will be supported by a vast plan to overhaul the STL’s business processes. This plan will confirm the STL’s place among the top ranks of the most efficient and effective public transit corporations.
This budget clearly reflects our will to significantly contribute toward Laval’s objective of reducing greenhouse gases. It’s a future-oriented budget centering around the pursuit of excellence and ultimately designed to meet our transit users’ needs.

The STL is exploring…
Contemplate faster transport service as well as more frequency of service along boulevard Pie-IX and Autoroute des Laurentides. Imagine the possibility of introducing a trolleybus system on its territory in order to become the seventh city in North America to set up this means of public transit. Consider green materials for the expansion of our garage, so as to preserve the environment. These are some of the promising projects for the future that have been studied all throughout the year and that will have significant impacts on passenger volumes and for reducing greenhouse gases.
