Involvement and partnership

The STL is always on the look-out for alternate solutions to single occupant vehicles. It is also striving to find new ways of promoting mass transit. In 2009, it therefore conducted an in-depth study on the feasibility of an electrically-powered trolleybus network. The findings will be announced in 2010.

Many specialists from the STL, planners and engineers took part in this research. Similarly, the STL is examining whether it is appropriate to extend the reserved lane planned along boulevard Pie-IX.

Residents’ Actions

It was with Génération ZÉRO-CARBONE, j’en fais partie ! as the theme, that the Droit de cité contest was organized by the Foru m jeunesse of the Conférence régionale des élus de Laval. The STL, which is one of the partners of this event, selected Laur ence Létourneau Simard’s artwork to exhibit on its buses. This winner also received an annual pass valid throughout the STL’s network.
