Improving Service Through Innovation and Development

The STL network is already rapidly expanding and its services have increased 33% since the metro arrived in Laval. This year, the STL has become a Canadian leader in providing passenger information in real time. Its reliability and on-time performance are among the best in the world, and the findings of the latest passenger satisfaction surveys have reached unprecedented levels.

Such excellent results are not going unnoticed, in fact, as the STL received the 2010 Distinction Award and the 2010 Mass Transit Award from the Association québécoise du transport et des routes (AQTR), in addition to the 2010 Excellence Award from the Institut de l’administration publique du Québec, in the Online Government category.

These results form a solid foundation that we can build on, as it is essential that we continue developing our network.

In the coming years, the STL will have to further extend its level of services, boost its consistency and operate at a faster pace. The main focus of the STL’s strategy will consist of implementing various preferential measures as well as launching Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) systems on the main arteries in Laval.
