Sustainable Mobility Plan

The Société de transport de Laval (STL) and ville de Laval are proud to present the Sustainable Mobility Plan. This first plan is geared toward reducing greenhouse gases (GHGs) produced by public transit and comes within the sustainable urban planning vision adopted by Ville de Laval: “Évolucité ? Laval evolving toward urban balance ? Laval’s Sustainable Urban Planning Policy”. It presents a range of 21 measures, most of which consist of major changes with regard to present methods and procedures. We are setting an ambitious objective of reducing GHGs related to Laval residents’ transportation by 50% per resident by 2031! Cities play a significant role in the fight against climate change. They have direct or indirect control over approximately half the GHG emissions. It is of the utmost importance for the municipal world to get involved and that’s what Laval has decided to do.
